Harold Schoenhaus, DPM, FACFAS is a board-certified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a past president and current fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff appointments and operating privileges at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital and Chestnut Hill hospital. Dr Schoenhaus' research and clinical interests are in biomechanics, pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery, including joint replacement surgery and pediatric podiatric surgery. Moreover, Dr Schoenhaus is the surgical editor for PRESENT e-Learning Systems, an online medical education and networking resource dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals throughout the world. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and pioneer in the field of lower extremity pathomechanics and reconstructive surgery. Dr Schoenhaus has authored several landmark articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. In 2015 Dr Schoenhaus was the recipient of the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University.

Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH, MAPWCA, FRSM, FFPM (Glasg), is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Matthew G Garoufalis, DPM, FASPS, FACPM, CWS, FFPM RCPS (Glasg), FRSM, graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio with degrees in Biology and Economics and went on to graduate from the Dr Wm M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr Garoufalis is a past president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, a Past President of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is the Immediate Past President of the International Federation of Podiatrists. Dr Garoufalis is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Medicine with Added Qualification in Wound Care and Limb Preservation. He is a Founding Fellow of American Society of Podiatric Surgeons and a Fellow of American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is also a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management. Dr Garoufalis is a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is a noted authored of many articles and, as an invited speaker, has accepted speaking engagements for educational lectures, seminars, and workshops, both nationally and internationally, on a variety of topics pertinent to wound care, podiatric medicine and surgery, and practice management. He is considered a Key Opinion Leader in many areas.

Stanley Kalish, DPM is the Founder of the Superbones Conferences. He is a well-known author, and inventor of the TLS drain, the Kalish Osteotomy for Hallux Valgus correction. Dr Kalish is the winner of the 2003 Podiatry Management Lifetime Achievement Award. He has three children and five grandchildren. Dr Kalish practices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nassau, Bahamas where he is a surgical consultant. He is a consultant to several U.S. orthopedic and pharmaceutical companies.

Bradley P Abicht, DPM, FACFAS practices at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI where he currently serves as the department chair. He is ABFAS board-certified in foot and rearfoot/ankle surgery, and completed his residency training through the Gundersen Medical Foundation in 2012. His practice and medical interests focus on foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, limb salvage or preservation, foot and ankle arthroscopy as well as minimally invasive techniques in foot and ankle surgery. Dr Abicht is intimately involved with student and resident education and training, as well as active in multiple ongoing research studies with regular annual publications in peer-reviewed forums and scientific conferences.”

Christopher Bromley, DPM, FACFAS currently practices foot and ankle surgery in Delray Beach, Florida. Dr Bromley's specialty within the group is Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Homeopathy. Dr Bromley has been passionate about nutrition and complementary medicine since entering private practice. He completed his surgical residency in 1992 in Baltimore, MD. His training included such prestigious hospitals as the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. An international and national lecturer of foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and regenerative medicine. When not in the office and on the podium, Dr Bromley is an on-track performance driving instructor and motorcycle track day instructor. Dr Bromley is very proud of his three children Sarah, Kent, and Alexander.

Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2001, Marlena Jbara, MD is currently an expert Bone and Joint Radiologist with Simon Med Imaging. She serves as faculty in an International MSK Fellowship with special interest in coaching expert level radiologists in foot and ankle imaging. She is a leader in podiatric radiology, developing curricula for academic programs with a broad experience from delivering grand rounds to publishing articles and book chapters on the shoulder, knee, and ankle . In addition to her active Radiologist practice, her productive career currently includes educating and coaching healers while providing resources to Help Heal our Healers within the Current Crisis of Physician Burnout. With her Cofounding of GrooveMDs.com, her team is active in raising awareness to empower physicians. Additionally, she is currently serving on the American College of Radiology Arts Task Force dedicated to physician wellness, highlighting Art as a source of our Physician Wellness. In all of her endeavors, Dr Jbara is an innovator in designing and implementing educational programs dedicated to our Healers.

Scott Maling, DPM

Scott N Maling, DPM, FACFAS, of Desert Foot and Ankle in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona, is a multi-talented board-certified podiatrist. He dedicates much of his time at the practice treating trauma and diabetic foot problems, as well as performing complex reconstructive rear foot and ankle procedures, and ankle replacement surgeries. Dr Maling also loves working with kids. Dr Maling earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He completed his surgical residency at Carl T Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix. Today, he helps train young podiatrists enrolled in this same residency program. Dr Maling is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, Arizona Podiatric Medical Association, American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He’s board-certified in the foot, reconstructive rear foot, and ankle surgery. When he’s not practicing, you can find Dr Maling lecturing on reconstructive foot and ankle topics, teaching as an associate clinical professor, or in his office working on podiatry-related medical literature.

Jason Miller, DPM served as Chief Resident and was recognized for assisting in pioneering the foot and ankle program at the 700+ bed Level 1 trauma center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr Miller began his career in 2001 teaching in the Department of Surgery at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where he served as Residency Director of the Temple University Health Systems/Northeastern Hospital podiatric residency program and Chief of the Section. In 2002, Dr Miller was honored in the Temple University “Gallery of Success”, an annual prestige that is awarded to a recent and past Temple graduate who has excelled in their chosen career. Dr Miller continues to hold the rank of Associate Professor as an adjunct faculty member in the Dept of Surgery at TUSPM. He has been chosen as a Top Doc multiple times in Philadelphia and Main Line Today magazines. Dr Miller has written numerous articles in several peer-reviewed journals, presented many poster abstracts at national meetings, written and edited chapters in board review books and lectures both nationally and internationally on a variety of topics related to foot and ankle surgery. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery and The Foot and Ankle Journal Online. The PA Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship program was founded by Dr Miller in 2011 and was recognized by the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons as the nation’s first 2-year foot & ankle postgraduate training program. In 2013, he formed a new 3-year residency program at Phoenixville Hospital to serve the community and provide training opportunities for graduating DPM students nationwide.

Dominic Rizzo, DPM

Dominic Rizzo, DPM is a Co-Founder and Chairman of the American Orthoplastic Microsurgical Society (AMOS). This surgical society is responsible for national and international collaboration and development in the field of limb reconstructive surgery. Dr Rizzo is also the Founder and Director of the Cincinnati Lower Extremity Reconstructive Institute which collaborates with local, regional and national medical professionals to advance limb salvage and reconstruction. Dr Rizzo currently serves as Research Director of the TriHealth Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency. Dr Rizzo is active in his local Professional Podiatric Academy, serving as past President and current treasurer and secretary. Dr Rizzo is very active with the podiatric surgical residency community, serving as surgical attending for podiatric surgical residents within the Mercy Hospital system and the TriHealth Hospital System. Dr Rizzo has been actively involved in the national and international lecturing circuit for his surgical development and research. Additionally, Dr Rizzo has long been involved with research and development of orthopedic devices and hardware.

Thomas Rocchio, DPM

Thomas Rocchio, DPM completed his podiatric training at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and his surgical residency at Community Medical Center (now Geisinger Community Medical center) in Scranton, PA. He spent three years of intensive training under world-renowned surgeon Dr Guido LaPorta to perfect his surgical techniques in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, limb lengthening, diabetic Charcot reconstruction, and pediatric deformity correction. Dr Rocchio is board certified in foot surgery as well as Rearfoot and Ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr Rocchio is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS); The American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) and a Member of the APMA. Dr Rocchio is proud to be recognized as one of the foremost experts on Charcot foot disorder (neuropathic arthropathy). He also enjoys lecturing nationally and internationally on foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, limb salvage surgery, diabetic reconstructive surgery, and wound care. Dr Rocchio also developed a surgical procedure to replenish atrophied plantar fat pad. His parachute technique is utilized by hundreds of surgeons each year. Dr Rocchio is also the co-designer of a unique external fixation frame utilized by hundreds of foot and ankle surgeons across the United States. In the final year of residency, Dr Rocchio completed special training in Biomechanics of External Fixation of the foot and ankle at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for pediatric orthopedics in Dallas, TX where he trained with world-renowned Russian orthopedic surgeon, Mikail Samchukov. From this education, Dr Rocchio wrote an article that focused on the mechanical properties of circular external fixation as it pertains to the foot and ankle and had the pleasure of presenting this work at the internationally renowned orthopedic group Association for the Study and Advancement of the Method of Ilizarov (ASAMI) meeting in Boston, MA in 2003.

Aaron Rossi, MD

Dr Rossi graduated from Elmhurst College in 2006 and received his medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine in 2012. While still in medical school, Dr Rossi discovered his passion and unique aptitude for the business management of private medical practice. Since graduating from medical school Dr Rossi has served in multiple capacities across the healthcare continuum allowing him to expand his knowledge and develop a diverse skillset which he applies as CEO of PAL Health Technologies. Driven by his passion to help private practice physicians navigate the ever-changing healthcare landscape, Dr Rossi has developed a proven model for private practice management. He developed his model as he grew a single provider practice into a robust multi-specialty group, quadrupling the practice’s revenue in less than five years. Following that endeavor, Dr Rossi honed his model while serving as the CEO for an ENT practice in Central Illinois, as well as the podiatry practice he shares with his business partner. In 2018, Dr Rossi and his business partner Gerald Paul, DPM, purchased and re-opened PAL Health Technologies, expanding the organization’s product and service offerings to include our new Practice Management, Revenue Cycle Management and IT service lines, almost completing Dr Rossi’s vision of providing holistic business support and consulting to private practice physicians. He then in June 2019 launched Reditus Laboratories (full-service Pathology lab), which he built off the strong PAL Foundation. Even though Dr Rossi’s primary focus is using his talents as CEO for several healthcare-based organizations in Central Illinois, including PAL Health Technologies and Reditus Laboratories, he continues to assist his business partner with his podiatry practice assisting in surgery as well. He also continues to provide care to patients through his other practice SoundChioce, which he employs a doctor of Audiology. Dr Rossi believes staying in touch with direct patient care allows him to better serve PAL’s practice partners as he understands the challenges private practice physicians experience every day. Jodi Schoenhaus Gold, DPM, RPhs, FACGAS, is the founder of Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Center, which has state-of-the-art locations in Boca Raton and Boynton, Florida. After completing her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr Schoenhaus Gold attended medical school. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr Schoenhaus Gold spent three years of her residency training in lower extremity surgery at the former Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. She regularly participates in continuing education to learn about the most cutting-edge advances in medicine and surgery. Currently, Dr Schoenhaus Gold is board certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery with a subspecialty in phlebology. Dr Schoenhaus Gold is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She also maintains professional memberships with the American College of Phlebology and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In 2005, Dr Schoenhaus Gold opened Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Center as a unique boutique medical practice and has since established herself as a leading specialist in Palm Beach County. Her philosophy is simple: Walk with comfort and look great doing it! She has also gained a reputation internationally for her skills, and patients travel far and wide for her fat cushion restoration, which restores lost padding in the feet. In addition to running a full-time podiatric practice, Dr Schoenhaus Gold is the medical director of Shuzz. This non-profit foundation provides foot and ankle medical care, as well as new shoes, to underserved patients domestically and internationally. She is a national lecturer and published author. In addition, Dr Schoenhaus Gold was recently awarded “Best of Boca” two years in a row in 2017 and 2018 for her outstanding achievements as a Boca Raton local provider. Dr Schoenhaus Gold is committed to caring for patients worldwide and has participated in mission trips abroad. She’s a Masonic Angel Fund Founder, which provides services to underprivileged children in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, Florida. Dr Schoenhaus Gold enjoys educating children in her community about medicine and their bodies.

Andrew Shinabarger, DPM, MS, is a podiatrist board-certified in foot and ankle surgery at the Legacy Medical Group in Portland, Oregon. Dr Shinabarger completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh which involved comprehensive surgical and limb salvage training. Michael Troiano, DPM, FACFAS is a 2004 graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed residency at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is in private practice at the Center for Foot and Ankle Disorders in Philadelphia. He is Adjunct Clinical Professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in the Department of Surgery, he teaches Biomechanics, and MRI reading. Dr Troiano is a board certified in foot, rear foot, and reconstructive ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds staff and teaching appointments at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital, Temple University Hospital, Penn Wound Care Center, Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Abington Memorial Hospital and the Foot and Ankle Specialty Center. He takes foot and ankle trauma call at Temple University Hospital and Penn- Presbyterian Medical Center, is a director of the Penn Wound Care Center and is a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer. He has authored and co-authored several journals, articles, and chapters published in various peer reviewed journals and books.

Marie L Williams, DPM, DABFAS, DHL

Marie Williams, DPM, DABPS, DHLS, is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Williams was the first clinical dean at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the school. Dr Williams has been in private practice since 1984. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Podiatry at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. She has been involved in residency training since 1986 and a Program Director in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine since 1988. Dr Williams is a speaker in the field of foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage. She has published several articles on the healing of complex wounds and limb salvage, while also authoring a chapter: Bone Infections in "Foot and Ankle Radiology". In August 2014, Dr Williams was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts along with her teammates from Immaculata College. Their team, the Mighty Macs, captured three consecutive Championships. They were considered trailblazers for women sports, and in the 70s they help bring about Title 9 and equality for women in sports. In June 2015 they received the trailblazer award in the women’s basketball hall of fame. Dr Williams was recently requested to be a Keynote Speaker for Immaculata University and received the Doctor of Humane Letters for her humanitarian efforts in May 2018.
